Preliminary exercise Camera Angles

Image
Camera angles   mark the specific location at which the movie camera or video camera is placed to take a shot. A scene may be shot from several camera angles simultaneously. This will give a different experience and sometimes emotion. They are very important in a-lot of aspects of film. Like before they help establish a tone in a scene. In the first photo we used a High angle to show inferiority in the picture. It was to show someone much taller was look down at Mekhi T. But In the picture his expression shows he is a little bit nervous. In the second photo it is Nycholas showing a sense of superiority over Mekhi T who he is look down at in the context of this photo. Nycholas feels disrespectful by Mekhi smirk.

Preliminary exercise Camera Compostion

Camera composition is  techniques used to set up the elements of a picture. These are the techniques which resembles the way we humans normally see a view. Camera composition is important when analyzing movies every shot in movie is a part of camera composition. Me and my partners looked at different media text for the pictures of camera composition so we can put on this slide. The objective of this assignment was to understand camera composition for the film me and my group are going to create. This teaches us how to identify different types of composition when using a camera. For example, in the film avenger's endgame tony stark has a single shot int he films before he snaps the infinity gauntlet.

Preliminary exercise Shot sizes.

Image
Me and my teammates created a storyboard explaining different shot sizes.  A medium shot is one the examples we used in our storyboard PowerPoint. In the storyboard we explained many different things in our shots. We gave definition of the shot sizes, the purposes of the respective shots, the genre, tone, action lines, and background information for each image. On the medium shot slide one of my group members Nycholas is getting in a combat stance. We used this medium shot because it fits the criteria of what a medium shot is very well. Going from his waist and up to his head.   In the second example we did a wide shot. This wide shot is supposed to have a conative meaning on loneliness. In the photo Nycholas is standing by himself in a very dark room. The wide angle emphasizes that nobody is with him. It makes it look kind of scary or mysterious. The empty chairs also add more creepiness. It makes him look like a ghost that is haunting a classroom. I believe this photo fits a...

Preliminary exercise My Camerwork camera framing

Image
In this part of the PowerPoint. We did camera framing and this is an example of the over the shoulder shot. In this over the shoulder shot, Nycholas looks very competitive as if he has seen a rival competitor. His facial expression shows he is mad at this person. It seems like he is forcefully shaking his hand and does not want to hand shake him. I think Nycholas did very well with the facial expressions in this image.  In this example of camera framing, we did a point of view shot. This shot shows the point of view of Nycholas while he is watching a show called "The Time I got Reincarnated as a slime". That show is a Japanese animation known as anime. This shot perfectly fits the point of view shot's criteria showing the point of the person looking at something.
