Preliminary Exercise Camera Movement Video Blog post

The purpose of this assignment was to use 6 camera movement techniques in videos. Camera movement is filmmaking technique that describes how a camera moves about to help enhance a story. Each member of our group had different responsibilities. I was the director I set up the shots for each video we recorded. The person recording was Mekhi T he was recording using a iPhone 13 to record the video. Shadlin M and Nycholas L were the actors for some of the videos we took.

The camera technique that was the least complicated for us was the tilt shot. When using it was simple to show the setting we wanted to show. The hardest technique we did was the random movement shot. It was difficult because the phone was stabilizing the video with its features. Working with my group mates were fun we got the shots we needed and worked together to make them come out as we like. The technology we used was the iPhone 13 it has :

  • Dual 12MP camera system: Main and Ultra Wide cameras.
The iPhone13 is notorious for having good video performance I am grateful that one of my teammates have one.

In this video we used Nycholas walking to class about to opening the door down the hallway and there was a group of students piled up.

This is a tilt shot of our school logo piper high. We moved out camera slowly to show the setting.

This video is supposed to be a random movement show a bully chasing a kid down the hall.

A zoom in to a pair of black Nikes worn by me.

This is a pan from Mekhi and Shadlin that we did in class.

A trucking shot of shadlin going down the hall.
