 A key component of film is lighting, which involves the use of light to alter the atmosphere, mood, and visual appeal of a scene. This can be done by modifying the position, brightness, and color of light sources to improve the storyline and help the audience understand the themes and emotions.


The significance of lighting in a movie comes from its capacity to influence how the viewer interprets the plot, environment, and characters. The appropriate lighting can give a surreal or dreamlike impression or make a scene look more realistic, depending on the needs of the scene. Additionally, lighting can convey the time of day, the weather, and the emotions of the characters.


For example, happy and natural lighting can be used to depict a happy or hopeful environment.

 Genre in film are the categories that we put film such as horror, comedy, action and etc. There are also hybrid genres which a mixture of two different genre. A subgenre is an element of a main genre example slasher and gothic are subgenres of horror. Genre is important because it lets the audience know what type of film, they will end up watching letting them know what type of films they like so when a new film comes, the audience will watch it if they like a certain genre. I have three major genres that I like a lot first being adventure, Second action, and lastly comedy.
